How do you create a lesson learned register?

Since a project is basically a piece of planned work that has to be completed over a period of time and intended to achieve a particular aim, working with a structured approach, to optimize use of resources in order to achieve the goals is important. When an organization is working on various projects, and every project is unique, multiple teams can be made to achieve higher levels of consistency in processes and to meet deadlines effectively and efficiently. The following Project phases are common:

  1. Initiating;
  2. Planning;
  3. Executing;
  4. Monitoring;
  5. Closing.

The Lessons Learned Log, when it's used in relation to Project Management, is often created in the last closing stage of the project. An evaluation will be held with the stakeholders involved, and the lessons learned are an important deliverable. This is often a full and complete overview that contains all of the project stages, deliverables and changes that occurred. They are properly historically record any and all events, happenings, documents, and deliverables and occurrences relative to the activity that occurred in the completion of a specific project.

The Project Manager, board and other stakeholders of an organization are all well aware of the importance of decent project log.
