When you know that you've worked long enough to get a promotion in your company and you don't get one on time, then it's your right to ask to be considered. There's no shame in asking for something that you know you deserve. You can send a well-written letter to your employer to explain why you're eligible for a promotion and that you're requesting an interview to prove yourself.

How to write a request letter for a higher position to your employer?

If this is the current situation you're in, then this is the ideal template for you to use. You have to tell your employer all the reasons why you deserve this higher position: your years of experience, your certificates, your good reputation, etc. Everything that you know your employer would appreciate in you.

Example of a direct way of asking for a higher job position:

I am working on the post of Occupation in your company for Number years. I had joined the company in the Month as Occupation on the basis of intermediate qualifications. According to the statute book of the company, the Occupation should be promoted to Occupation after Number years’ experience or can apply any time after Number years of his job as Occupation if his qualification is graduation. I have submitted my degree of graduation to the Executive department of the company and I have submitted my experience letter of Number years as Occupation in the same company. I shall be promoted to Occupation according to section 5 of the rule book of the company so you are requested to give me time for an interview so that I can prove myself the best match for the concerned post.

Applying for a higher position should not be too difficult when you have the experience and knowledge for the job. And when you have the perfect template to use, you can save yourself some time as well.
