General Formatting Guidelines

In APA style, the title page should include the following information:

  • Title of the Paper: The title should be centered and written in title case (uppercase and lowercase letters).
  • Author's Name and Institutional Affiliation: The author's name should be centered below the title, followed by the institutional affiliation. Both should be written in plain font.
  • Running Head: The running head is a shortened version of the paper's title, written in all caps. It should be placed in the page header, aligned to the left margin.
  • Page Number: The page number should be placed in the top right corner of the page, one inch from the right margin and half an inch from the top margin.
