What is the format of experience certificate?

There are a few basic tips to keep in mind when creating an Experience Certificate Letter:

  • Use organization business letter format, on Company's letterhead;
  • Date of issue of the certificate;
  • Salutation or Declaration “To Whom it May Concern”;
  • Immediately clear about your name, experience and last position;
  • Full Name of the Employee as per the official Record;
  • Period of Employment (Date of Joining and the last day of working in the organization);
  • Uses the correct name of the organization and must be on Company's Letterhead;
  • Includes the person’s full name (and possibly the gender);
  • Date the certificate, mention day of issuing;
  • Period of Employment: specify duration or tenure of the employment period with the previous organization;
  • Specify the designation;
  • Nature of Duties or (last) responsibilities held;
  • Mention person was dedicate towards job or company;
  • Compliance Code of Conduct;
  • Additional remarks by employer;
  • Brief, preferably one page in length;
  • Clean, error-free, and easy to read;
  • Write a positive statement regarding employee's future at end of the letter;
  • Place an Authorized signature and organizations' seal;
  • Use a common business letter or certificate format, like this template.

  • To whom it may concern
  • I am writing to confirm {{name of employee}}’s employment experience with {{company name}}. 
  • {{Employee}} began with {{company name}} on {{start and end date of employment}} as a {{job title}}. 
  • {{Name of employee}} performed the duties of {{list description of duties}}. 
  • {{Name of employee}} spent roughly {{percentage}} in the field, and {{percentage}} in the office.
  • This is to certify that name worked in Company Name in the capacity of Job Title from employment starting date until employment end date.
  • He started his journey as starting job title and was later promoted to title at the time of exit.
  • Employee name was primarily responsible for designation and his everyday tasks list included:
  • During his employment period, employee name exhibited professional behavior as well as inherent traits to successfully complete projects and tasks on time.
