Overview

A motion or vote of no confidence isa statement or vote about whether a person in a certain position ofresponsibility (government, management, team, etc.) is still deemed fit to holdthat position. Often it is an initial legal procedure used by members of alegislative body, department, or company to remove somebody from office/position.

Theprocedure varies from country to country. It also depends if a company ororganization allows employees to call a vote of no confidence towards theirmanagers and directors. Often a vote of no confidence is given due to a lack ofleadership. For example due to lack in organizational values, such asintegrity, fairness, respect, dignity, and compassion. Perhaps the mostdevasting reason for a department's morale is the no-confidence vote thatoccurs because employees perceive that the manager simply does not care.
