What is meant by HR?

Human Resources (HR) are the human assets of an organization. It's a part of Human Resource Management (HRM), which is the strategic division within a company or an organization that does the effective and efficient management of people in order to help their business gain a competitive advantage. The objective is to maximize employee performance in delivering the products or service of an employer's strategic objectives. The Human resources (HR) is the division that is tactically and operationally charged with finding, screening, recruiting, training, supporting and managing job applicants, as well as administering employee-benefit programs.

Further, HR plans, coordinates, and directs the administrative functions of an organization. They oversee the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization's management and its employees.
